Yep. I've seen this kind of thing before. Definitely satirical humor with a semi-serious social commentary. Cute stuff, funny, I like it. Yep, most of the lil' goth beggers just wanna be left alone. Nice work.
Author's Response:
You make it sound like im the goth. Nar, not even close. But yeah, all for laughs, so thanks for the review

I this doesn't get front page, or several portal awards, it'd be a damn shame! Neat idea, equipped with oldskool cartoonish humor and a score remenicient of Pee-Wees Big Adventure, this was just awesome. Congrats on a job well done!
Author's Response:
Thanks! While we were making it I kept saying that I wanted to make music for it, in the style of Peewee!

I didn't know anyone else had ever heard of White Town. Not a bad video. Of course, the animation quality alters dramaticly throughout depending on the author, but the overall effect is still good. Seems like half the CC either goes out with or has gone out with Clear Clock or Nef. Wild...

This flash has generated some interesting buzz, everything from self-segregation to pandering sycofancy. Well done on the video. Your animations were quite nice. I'm not sure how much sympathy I have for the characters in the vid though. If I understood that song correctly, they were illegal immigrants who brag about being drug dealers and more than a little racially prejudiced? More power to good people who understand the concept of love and live by it, but racism goes both ways people. Let's stop pointing out our differences and just live together under the same roof for once. Maybe we can all even be friends, too. ;)
Author's Response:
hehe yep a lot of reviews in lil time..and my characters are not like that...or are they?...lol

Tests go in the Alphas section on NG, not here. And I'm also pretty certain that what you propose is called copyright infringement. Being a published author myself, this is an area I've learned a fair amount about. Maybe I just misunderstood your Q & A section, but if not, I hope the originators of Junkie Teacher don't see what you're up to, for your sake.

Interesting concept. Was that the head of the girl bunny from "There She Is" I detected in the laundromat trash receptacle? Poor girl...
Anyways, nice job and well done in all areas. A good idea with much potential. Oh, just think of the possibilities. What's the chance that I could get to see Knox Hulky crush Foamy into Fluffernutter?
Author's Response:
very observant you are.. hehe i knew somebody would find it. I just like to take semi hidden jabs at other artists just for fun. keeps my life from being dull.

Interesting choice of music. The video isn't bad. Nice art, decent animation, just awfully brief. It probably won't make it on NG because it's in a differnet language than English, but for what it's worth, I'd say you did a good job.
Then again, it does have mucho feaky in it, so it may be a hit after all....

I don't see why this has gotten such high scores. I'd love to actually see this game for real, as I've been a fan of almost all the collaboration games and I've always loved the Nightwarriors series. But this game had very limited controls, almost no difference between one character and another, and only 4 characters to choose from who all have been pretty one-dimensional since about '92 and fairly uninteresting. As far as gameplay went, it was the same in every fight. The NW would walk forward, swinging away with their 2 to 4 attacks, and so would I until they died. This strategy worked every time( a true blasphemy with Huitzil, a master of long range keep-away tactics.) And after each enemy fell, they laid down in their stationary animation, which made it look like they were doing some weird breakdance, or maybe coming on to my character. Knocking them out was interesting too, as both our health meters could be empty for several seconds of punching and kicking and we'd both still be standiing, swinging away.
It's a great idea, with a almost limitless potential, but it needs a lot of polishing before it'll be realized.

Kewl! Great idea, pretty good game. I liked the inovation of hiding inside the box and the multiple attacks were nice. As is, it's okay. It could stand more variety, weapons, etc. With an evil Jack-in-the-box as your main character, sound bites are a no-brainer! Quips and one-liners are a must for kills, maybe even special lines for certain kills. More variety of enemies and whatnot could make this a console dream game gore-fest!
Author's Response:
Sound bytes.. Wow! That completely slipped my mind :) Thanks for bringing it up. I'll start working on it after my finals are over, cause sound takes a while to get right.

Yeah, my brother's in the Navy too, he's an XO on a nuclear sub, and his figures don't seem to match up with yours. Either way, I'll give you points for having the guts to stick to your guns. I'd give you more if you actually showed your face in the end shot, but I'm not putting you down for maintaining anonymity. All except for one point; if you really feel this way, why the hell did you join the military? Their job is force exertion, which often results in death and destruction. What were you expecting?
Author's Response:
I agree, but death and destruction should be focused on military targets and then only with just cause. I don't believe that we were properly focused or had just cause to bomb an inhabited city.
